This is a plastic model kit of the Enterprise, the world’s first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, which was completed in 1961 and known by the nickname “Big E.” This kit shows the Enterprise as it appeared after the refit work carried out between 1979 and 1982. The voluminous hull is divided into two sections to faithfully reproduce the delicate lines. Three metal frames are used for the interior, and the huge sponsons on both sides are molded in one piece for strength. The bridge structure, which consists of approximately 100 parts, is also sharply finished, including the radar. The set also includes a towing tractor, a mobile crane truck, a total of 40 aircraft of five models each, including eight F-18A Hornets, as well as a display stand and a ship name plate. When completed,
the model is 1005mm long, 267mm wide, and 203mm high.
